What do we do in Speech-Language? 1. In Speech we work on hearing, fine tuning the production the sounds of language, for listening, talking, reading and spelling. 2. In Language we work on making sense of what we have heard, remembering it, and keeping it in our minds while we get to work. We also work on developing the sophistication needed for producing oral and written language. 3. Other skills, like voice, fluency (stuttering), and pragmatics affect the way we speak.
